Pioneer Tennis Inc. (Formally Mackay & District Tennis Assoc.) is the largest tennis club in Mackay with that of 4 mini courts, 16 hard courts, in which 14 courts are lit. We have a fully functioning canteen, a pro shop and tournaments desk. The club also boasts modern toilet facilities and spacious shade areas. The club is ideally situated close to the airport a 5 minute drive to the CBD of Mackay and close to motels and hotels on Nebo Rd.

The club has gone under a transformation from historically a junior based club, to a club which now caters for all players, levels and abilities. The club strives to provide a program from the most social of tennis players through to more competitive player.

​

With over 1000 members annually, Pioneer Tennis is ranked in the 10 top club's affiliation numbers in Queensland.

This achievement is largely contributed to both its strong coaching staff and it's network of 30 schools. The club also prides it self on supporting the youth of today and leaders of tomorrow through a trainee ship offered in Business Administration and looks to partner and align to organisation's with similar core values of fair equality, friendliness and caring of one another.

Pioneer Tennis Inc. has 6 full time coaches who coordinate all things coaching and the management of weekly competitions for the club. It is huge logistical collaboration from all approach and delivered with the understanding of regional tennis needs.

Corporate Hire:

Whether you're wanting to do something different for your next corporate team building exercise or you would like to organise a tennis based event, Pioneer Tennis will accommodate your booking.  Our team will work with you to ensure your vision and goals are achieved.  With a fully equipped kitchen, undercover all weather area complete with tables and chairs that can be configured to meet your needs and toilet/shower facilities, Pioneer Tennis is a viable option for your next corporate booking.

Racquet Restringing:

Pioneer Tennis offers racquet restringing which can be turned around within 48 hours (subject to peak tournament schedules which takes priority).

 

Simply drop your racquet into the Club during office hours and we'll arrange the rest and call you when it's completed.
